Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!

I hope you enjoyed your 4th. Did you BBQ? Set off fireworks or enjoy a show? Jump in a lake or go for a hike?

I got to watch the annual 4th of July parade in my little hometown of Twisp, Washington, population 956. I stood outside my 110 year old brick building, the oldest building in town, and watched a curious hodgepodge of horses, acrobats, musicians and fire trucks drive down Glover Street (about four blocks long, honestly). I count myself truly lucky to live in one of the sweetest, quirkiest small towns in America and to be able to work with such amazing and talented people here in the rural heart of Washington State. It was a simple, wonderful 4th of July and I hope yours was wonderful and perfect for you as well.
