What I’m Grateful For: A Good Shovel
Now that snow season has been underway up here in the North Cascades for at least a month, I really need to pay some homage to my really good shovels. I know this seems mundane, but when it snowed a foot the night before, you have calls and meetings all day, and the snow has managed to both warm up, then refreeze, you REALLY want a good shovel. And luckily for me, I know the owner/CEO of a crazy good, unique shovel company called DMOS Collective. These shovels will eat through ice, packed snow, frozen dirt, pretty much anything. It’s amazing that having the right tool for the job, really does make the job a lot more fun. Plus, something really odd to be grateful for…. which is always nice too!
What I’m Reading: Neurodharma: New Science, Ancient Wisdom, and Seven Practices of the Highest Happiness by Rick Hansen. Brian science meets meditation and spirituality in this action-focused book. I just got it so I’m only on the first chapter, but I am loving it so far: clear writing, actionable items, plenty of research and science-backed data. I’ll tell you more next week as I get deeper into it!
