Step 1

Starting up Mail on mac for the first time will bring you to this page.


If this page doesn's open for you the first time you start mail, open "Checking Email on Mac Mail" to see how to bring up a new Email screen.


Enter your full name and full email address.

Choose between POP3 or IMAP.

If your account type is POP3 make sure your "incoming mail server:" is "".

If your account type is IMAP make sure your "incoming mail server:" is ""


Use your full Email address as your "Username" and then enter your password.

Your outgoing mail server is ""


Then click "OK"

Step 2

A new page will open up

Choose if you want to import mail from other email account.


If this doesn't apply to your account, select no.

Step 3

A new page will open up.

Use "" as your "Outgoing Mail Server".

For your "Outgoing server (SMTP)" please use 25. If that number doesn't work, then try 2525 instead.

For Verizon Customers, Please use 587.

Make sure "Authentication" is set to Password.

Then enter your full email adress as your "User Name." Then fill in your password.

Then click the "OK" button.


Congratulations! your Email is now setup!
