What I’m Grateful For: A Little Less Smoke
Mind you, I didn’t say “clear blue skies” – nothing even close. Just, not so much smoke so that if you open your front door for 4 minutes, the smoke alarm starts going off. We still have so much smoke you can look straight at the sun and wonder for a minute if that’s the full moon, then remember that it’s actually the new moon so nope, that’s only the sun, veiled in smoke. BUT enough not-smoke that we can go outside and sit in the park without coughing up a lung, which is what we did today, socially distantly, properly, sedately and with shallow breaths.
Still, it was absolutely marvelous. Thank you team, I appreciate our simple Thirsty Thursdays in the park so, so much.
What I’m Reading: To be honest everyone, I’ve been running like a crazy person this week – first week of remote online school, lots of project deadlines, tons of things to manage: I would be not honest with you if I told you I was reading much of anything but some murder mysteries to make my brain stop and go to sleep (and if you’re wondering, Camilla Lackberg. All of them.) Thank you for your patience, hope to return to the regularly scheduled programming next week!
