What I’m Grateful For: The Big Outdoors
Well, this afternoon I was on my way to my yoga class and on the door was a big sign – STUDIO CLOSED. They are closing the yoga studio for a few weeks in light of the coronavirus situation. I was briefly (deeply) disappointed – I really have been enjoying both the physical challenge of yoga, and the company of some incredibly powerful women. So I will really miss yoga.
But I sat on the bench outside the yoga studio and took a deep breath and looked at the sky and relaxed. I can go outside and explore the big wide world outside and stand in the sunshine and breathe the clean air. I’m incredibly grateful to be here and be able to get outside and walk for miles and miles in pretty much any direction I choose. It’s a blessing.
What I’m Reading: Right now, I am either reading the news (yes, likely a mistake) or my newest find, mystery novelist Sara Blaedel from Denmark. She’s a great writer and I love the combination of dark, depressing mysteries and introverted and complicated detectives who try to solve them. Especially when the news is as terrible as it’s been lately, a good Danish crime novel is the perfect escape. https://www.sarablaedel.com/
