What I’m Grateful For: SNL best real estate websites

Honestly guys….. I’m pretty serious most of the time. I really am not a whole lot of fun and generally I prefer reading about leadership or economics or (my secret favorite) zoonotic diseases than watching TV or going to the movies. But my little exception to that rule is SNL – that’s right, Saturday Night Live. Now I don’t have TV, so I don’t watch it live, and I don’t like watching the whole thing, I only like one little vignette at a time. But I have enjoyed this show since I was in high school and first started watching it. I really love how the comedy is equal-opportunity and pretty much everyone can be made fun of, especially when it’s done so well. It’s a little treat that I give myself late at night.

Laughter is good medicine, even for a serious nerdy girl like me.

What I’m Reading: Spillover by David Quammen. I’m re-reading this for the third time – it’s SUCH a great book that dives into great depth about zoonotic, infectious diseases and the virus hunters that search for the likely reservoir hosts. I have no idea why I’m so fascinated by this topic, but I am. In another life, I would like to study bats and viruses and spend my life tromping through steamy equatorial jungles in search of elusive viruses with exotic names. BUT since I’m pretty sure that life is just not in the cards this go around, I’m reading about it instead. I promise, if you are interested in this kind of thing, THIS is the best book on the subject, hands down.
