Hello dear readers!

Today the sun is shining and the birds are singing and I’m delighted to let you know that we got one of our largest and most complicated IDXs migrated and ready to go with our brand new Mercury IDX.

To make this happen, our lead engineer actually came to work at midnight and stayed through the night and into the next day, in order to make this migration as painless and seamless for our clients as possible. best real estate website in miami

It occurred to me as I was reviewing the project as a whole that it might be fun for you to hear about the story of our new IDX!

So Cevado has been planning on doing a new IDX for many, many years. Even before I came on board in 2016, there were plans and even some design sets for a new IDX that had been started a few times, but never actually executed. The reason for that is because a new IDX is a HUUUUUUUGE project, one that can affect nearly every part of our client’s online tools and one that requires many, many moving parts to implement.

So late last summer we finalized the plans and strategy, and then our engineering team got started. It was an incredibly intense push – daily meetings, scrum process, bi-weekly team meetings, overtime, weekends, nights. There were moments of exhilaration and moments of sheer frustration. Some days personalities clashed, but we always got back on track.

Finally, at the end of March, our beta version rolled out. And frankly, it was amazing. What the team put together, the way that they worked it all out, and the end product that we are able to offer our clients today is phenomenal. It’s elegant, fast, clean and sexy as hell.

I’m so proud and impressed and honored to work with such an amazing team of people. Thank you guys so much for your dedication, your passion, and your efforts to bring this amazing project to fruition.
