Step 1

Open Windows Mail. After Mail has finished loading completely, click the "Tools" button at the top of the screen. Then press the accounts button.

A new window will open up.

Click on the email you want to edit and press the "Properties" button.

Step 3

A new window will open up.

Check to see if your email address is correct as well as your "Name".

Then press the "Servers" tab on the top of the window.

Step 4

Double check to see if your settings are correct.

If your account type is POP3, Make sure your "incoming mail server:" is "pop.everyone.net".

If your account type is IMAP, Make sure your "incoming mail server:" is "imap.everyone.net"

For your "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" use "smtp.everyone.net" For your "Incoming Mail Sever" use your full email for your "E-mail username" and then enter your password.

Make sure "My server requires authentication" is checked, then press the "Settings..." button.

Step 5

A new window will open up.

 

Make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked. Then click "OK"

 

(Note, if your email repeatedly fails to set up, try checking "Log on using" and filling in your full email as your "E-mail username" and then entering your password.

Your Email username and Password need to be updated when your email changes)

Step 6

Press the "Advanced" tab on the top of the window

Step 7

If your incoming setting is POP3, input 110 into "Incoming server." If your setting is IMAP input 143 into "Incoming server."

For your "Outgoing server (SMTP)" please use 25. If that number doesn't work, then try 2525 instead.

For Verizon Customers, please use 587.

 

Optionally, check the "Leave a copy of messages on server" button and choose between the two options below that will work best for you.

Then click the "OK" button.
