Step 1

Open Outlook 2013. After it has finished loading completely, click the "File" button on the top left corner of the screen.

Step 2

Next press the "Info" button and then press the "Account Settings"

Step 3

A new window will open.

Select the email you wish to edit, then press the "Change..." button

Step 4

Fill in your name and e-mail
address in the appropriate fields.

If your account type is POP3 make sure your "incoming mail server:" is "pop.everyone.net".

If your account type is IMAP make sure your "incoming mail server:" is "imap.everyone.net"

For your "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" use "smtp.everyone.net" For your "User Name" use your full email adress, and then add your password.

Check your info on this screen and make sure all the information is correct.

When you are finished making your changes, click the "More Settings" button.

Step 5

A new window will open up.

Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab.

 

Make sure the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked. Make sure the "Log on using" is checked on and fill in your username and password.

Next click the "Advanced" tab.

Step 6

Under the "Advanced" tab, If your setting is POP3, input 110 into "Incoming server." If your setting is IMAP input 143 into "Incoming server."

For your "Outgoing server (SMTP)" please use 25. If that number doesn't work, then try 2525 instead.

For Verizon Customers, Please use 587.

 

Optionally, check the "Leave a copy of messages on server" button and choose between the two options below that will work best for you.

 

Then click the "OK" button.

 

Step 7

After clicking the "OK" button, you
will return to this screen.

Press the "Test Account Settings" button to test your settings. If your test brings up an error, put the error message into Google to see the specific issue.

 

In addition, you should double check your username and password for your email.

 

Also recheck step 6 and try another outgoing server port.

If your test comes back positive
click the "Next" button.

 

Congratulations, your email has been updated.
